$5,980.00 /Pair

Italian 1970s pair of white lacquered side cabinets or nightstands from a Milanese house in San Siro. Made in Italy, designed by Giusta Collini for Frigerio Di Desio, with high quality of execution for the uniqueness of the design and choice of materials, entirely handcrafted in solid walnut, the surround completely lacquered in white, the back finished as well so that these pieces can stand in the middle of a room, the front elegantly hand-carved with a raised diagonal geometric pattern, highlighted by a slanted vertical brass band as handle. The interior is fitted with a glass shelf. One opens from left to right, the other from right to left.

They can accompany their matching long sideboard or dresser, 701PD

Biography: Luciano Frigerio, Italian Designer, Artist and Musician, (1928 - 1999) born in Desio where his father Giovanni established a small workshop of high quality cabinet making in 1889. His frequent visits to prestigious studios like Canturine, where he often met masters like Gio' Ponti, Franco Albini, Carlo De Carli and Tapio Wirkkala, lead to the transformation of his small family business with the opening of 10 showrooms in the biggest Italian cities, one of which was in Via Montenapoleaone, Milan where many Haute Couture Fashion Designers had their workshops, such as Giusta Collini Style - owned by Giusta Collini - and Gabriella Crespi.
