Vivarini glassworks was established in 1967. The aim of the Company was to give complete freedom to Master glassmakers to express their own art through glass. From the very beginning, the philosophy adopted by the company was to have direct contact with private clientele (among their clients are Paul Newman, John Travolta, Jack Nicholson) with raised standards of production quality. The Company takes great pride in preserving the thousand-year old standards of Murano Art glass. Internationally renowned painters and sculptors such as Yoko Ono, Ben Vautier, Fernandez Arman, Ugo Nespolo have forged their works in Vivarini furnaces. In 2003, the American artist Fred Wilson set up the American pavilion at the Venice Biennale, with his works produced in glass by Vivarini, highly acclaimed by the press.
