Exceptional Art Nouveau Iridescent Vase by Catteau
This is a rare and very interesting vase made by Charles Catteau when he was working for the Rambervillers Company before moving to Boch Freres. The sophisticated shape with three handles, the decoration of leaves and "iris" motif on the handles are examples of the Art Nouveau statements but what is most interesting is the "flamed" glaze with shimmering iridescence of subtle purple and green: A glimpse of this sublime enameling technique. This Work of Art is referenced in Rambervillers catalogue. Artist and Company marks.
