Early 20th century Arts and Crafts Majolica art pottery rare set of three pieces, made by the Swiss factory Thun/Thoune, circa 1910s. Each earthenware item, a two-handled vase, a jug and a note/match holder, entirely handcrafted and hand-painted, is decorated with a modern Eastern accent design, on black background with brightly slip ware in yellow, white, green and brick orange, enhanced with a sgraffiato technique, depicting owls in the midst of exotic parrot feathers. Highly collectible, each signed. Ideal as desk accessories and as a gift, for Mother's Day or Valentine.
