1970s Jay Spectre Vintage Pair of Chromed Lamps with adjustable light intensity
Very high-tech design for this rare pair of vintage chromed lamps designed by Jay Spectre for Paul Hanson, with Machine Age inspiration, chromed metal shades with white lacquered inside to reflect the light more efficiently and two settings of light intensity. Jay Spectre (1929 -1992) was named to the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 1986, won a Bride's magazine award for excellence in 1987 and numerous other awards over the years. He was enthusiastic about technological advances and their use in interior design, saying "Technology is the servant of today."
