1970s Very Rare Italian Design Tan Leather Armchair and Ottoman by Luciano Frigerio
Italian design, very limited edition armchair and bench/footrest, the leather cushions resting on original leather belts, with metal buckles, inserted in a mahogany structure. This design is referenced and photographed (page 23) in the catalogue: Luciano Frigerio, Maestro Mobiliere, 1889-1989.
Called Samuray, Collezioni Riservate - Exclusive and Exemplary Design, and described (page 26) as: a reason for joyfulness and day-dreaming, the name shows where we got the idea from, this will be a wonder-worker in a restless society such as ours and will become an important weapon in the battle against the grey uniformity of conformist man.
