1950s French Monumental Gilded Wood Girls Architectural Statues for Crazy Horse
This vintage pair of monumental "Golden Girls" Art sculptures in modern Art Deco Style was commissioned by Alain Bernardin with another pair for the opening in 1951 of his famous Parisian cabaret, the Crazy Horse. One pair is since then on the stage in Paris while this exact same pair had been kept aside for the opening of a future venue, then released after Alain Bernardin's death in 1994. They are entirely hand-carved in wood and plaster and hand gilt with pure gold leaf.
