VeArt 1960s Pair of Black Glass Table Lamps with Speckles
A pair of Italian lamps commissioned to VeArt by Pauly & C. (VeArt-Venini and Pauly & C. labels), in black blown Murano glass worked with the highest quality of technique called avventurina: speckles of copper in the glass and in this case silver speckles as well, in a pattern to create lines that reflect the light in soft shimmering multicolored accents. Glass art by Pauly & C. is on display in a number of museums, among them: The Victoria and Albert Museum in London and The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.
