Barovier Toso 1950s Italian Vintage Gold and Crystal Rostrato Murano Glass Bowls

Exquisite mid-20th century pair of vases or bowls by Barovier & Toso with Art Deco flair in two colors, one in blown whiskey gold Murano art glass, the other in crystal clear, hand decorated with the technique Rostrato: spikes of glass individually hand pulled in relief. Rostrato is a distinctive technique invented by Ercole Barovier as a way to enhance the glass luminosity while multiplying light reflections. The organic shape of these centrepieces is particularly interesting so that they can be used as a bowl and as a flower vase. Diameter opening 5 inches, can be purchased individually or accompanied by a 3rd bigger one in amber gold Murano glass as per photographs.
