Barovier Toso 1950s Italian Vintage Amber Gold Rostrato Murano Glass Vase / Bowl
An exquisite mid-20th century centerpiece by Barovier & Toso in blown whiskey gold Murano Art glass with Art Deco flair, hand decorated with the technique Rostrato: spikes of glass individually hand pulled in relief. Rostrato is a distinctive technique invented by Ercole Barovier as a way to enhance the glass luminosity while multiplying light reflections. The organic shape of this centrepiece is particularly interesting so that it can be used as a bowl and as a flower vase. Diameter opening 6.75 in.
Can be accompanied by a smaller bowl, item 768PC2 as per photograph.
